The Easy Choice Game

CREATIVE OVERVIEW

National Car Rental asked my team to come up with a fun and engaging way to educate business travelers about the perks of being in their Emerald Club loyalty program.

Specifically, they asked us to highlight 3 main benefits of being a member - speed, control, and most importantly, choice.

 

To demonstrate these benefits, we created 3 short, comedic videos where real business travelers were paired with viral comedian, Mark Malkoff. Mark hosted of a game we invented called "The Easy Choice Game".

In each video, Mark asked a series of silly, rapid-fire questions that forced them to make tough decisions. The final question in each series was between two car models that Emerald Club member would have a choice between.

 

The message: while you may have to make lots of tough choices, choosing a rental car will always be easy if you sign-up for the Emerald Club because you'll have lots of great car options to choose from. 

MY ROLE

I led all elements of this campaign including:

  • Developing, pitching, and presenting the creative concept of "The Easy Choice Game" internally and to clients.

  • Writing scripts and creating storyboard treatments.

  • Scouting our shooting location.

  • Casting talent through multiple rounds of phone calls and Skype video chats.

  • Sourcing a production company to film and edit the content.

  • Providing creative direction on-set.

  • Supervising all post-production elements (music, sound mix, color, etc.)
